anyone going to any conventions this summer? i went to the sci fi expo in dallas last weekend. i got autographs from all the star wars actors who were there (jeremy bulloch, kenny baker, daniel logan, and bonnie piesse). jeremy bulloch is like the nicest person i've ever met. oh and the twins from matrix reloaded were there, and i couldnt afford their autographs, but i got my picture taken with them (they're hhhhhot!!!!!) and i went to the Q&A with them. they were funny together. and the Q&A with jeremy and daniel was also great. daniel found some way to bring up girls in every answer he gave, and that was pretty funny. someone asked why there was only 1 seat in slave I in the original trilogy but more seats in aotc, and he said that the extra seats were for the girls. i didnt buy much cuz i'm not rich or anything. they were selling tons of stuff tho. i got some free posters for like xmen2 and tomb raider and i dont remember what else. but it was a lot of fun. and i won this episode I puzzle in a raffle. unfortunately i did not win the $285 lightsaber from thesaberworks.com. that thing was pretty cool. it was lots of fun. anyone else have convention experiences to share?

There aren't any conventions around here either. I used to live in the DC area and there were always Trek conventions there. There were never an SW people talking at the Trek conventions (obviously) but there was tons of merchandise for sale, including signatures, pictures/posters, clothing, props, toys, and collectables.

I just got back from the Comic-Con in San Diego. Talk about timing. I am just on this side of the coast for a class in Thousand Oaks (outside of LA). I fought the traffic to get to SD after school got out. I got the silver Boba Fett figure and Jeremy Bulloch signed it. He was so nice and he even agreed to pictures, so I got to pose with him. Kenny Baker, Mark Hammill, novel writers, and a sneak peek of the first Clone Wars short on the Cartoon Network. I am soooo excited!

that sounds like so much fun, red5. this thing i went to last weekend was pretty small, but there's another one here in october and i think that's supposed to be bigger. they were supposed to have billy dee williams and peter mayhew here, but they both had to cancel (mayhew cancelled cuz he got called to australia for a costume fitting). i'm looking forward to the one in october here, but i need to save up because i spent $100 last weekend (not including tickets)

I would love to go to Celebration 3. Anyone know where it is going to be held? And how much they usually are?
