We've talked about what we collect and but not why. I know collectors of just about anything all collect for different reasons. I know that often we think about more than one thing when buying something so pick the option that you use the most when buying when you vote and you can post as many reasons as you want. Personally, I usually think about all of the options listed. The possible value is always a consideration, especially when finding original 77, 80, or 83 items in good condition. Everytime someone askes me for birthday or christmas gift suggestions Star Wars is always on there one way or another. If one of my favorite characters (you can probably guess at least one) happens to be on whatever it is I'm thinking about buying it very well might sway my decision as much as if I just simply like it or already have another in the set. And, of course, the fact that it's simply Star Wars can be pretty powerful motivation in shopping...

Like you said, it is a combination of all that you have listed. I guess I typically buy things that are my favorites at the time, but I guess that can fall under buying things that I like. I buy other stuff too, but I am partial to X-Wings/ Luke Skywalker/ Vader/ Anakin.

i voted for its star wars and worth any price because i just love all things star wars. tho some prices are very much out of my range of affordability, but i go to this bookstore usually twice a week at least and buy all the star wars books they have that i don't have yet.
